Prayer & Fasting
We have one week of prayer and fasting coming up on Monday, the 4th of September to the 10th of September. Join us on the Monday at 7:30am at the Lagoon by Stuart Park Playground as we come together for prayer and worship to kick off this powerful week of Prayer and Fasting.
To end our fasting we’ll be having our New People's Welcome Lunch at 1pm on Sunday 10th September. If you're new to Believe Church or haven't been to a Welcome Lunch before we'd love for you to join us. Please rsvp to info@believe.church by 5pm Thursday 7th September. We can't wait to welcome you into our Believe Church family!
What We’re Praying and Fasting For:
We will be praying over a different core value/characteristic of our Church daily.
Intimacy with God, a secured Faith, A strong Character, an established Community, that we would be active in Mission and driven by the Eternal Hope that Christ has given us.
Intimacy
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
Faith
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Deuteronomy 31:8
Character
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Colossians 3:12-14
Community
so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
1 Corinthians 12:25-27
Mission
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20
Eternal Hope
I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:10-11
